SPECTOR’S NOTE: Benning has a proven record for finding and developing young talent, which his predecessor did not. He has considerable front office experience and helped build the Bruins into a Cup champion and perennial contender. I believe he’s a great choice as their new GM. Canucks fans should be patient, as it will take time to rebuild their club into a Cup contender again, but Benning is the right person for the job.
