TORONTO SUN: The Maple Leafs made Mikhail Grabovski’s return to Toronto one he’d like to forget. H was forced from the game after being inadvertently cut for 20 stitches by David Clarkson’s skate, while his Washington Capitals fell 2-1 in overtime.
MONTREAL GAZETTE: For the second straight game the Montreal Canadiens took a 3-0 lead then held on to win 3-2, this time downing the Pittsburgh Penguins. Max Pacioretty scored twice for the Habs while Carey Price made 29 saves for the win.
OTTAWA SUN: The Senators won their second straight game at the Joe Louis Arena this season, downing the Detroit Red Wings 4-2 to snap a three-game losing skid.
VANCOUVER PROVINCE: Two goals in nine seconds by the Chicago Blackhawks downed the Vancouver Canucks 2-1.
WINNIPEG FREE PRESS: The Jets blew two leads to fall 3-2 in overtime to the Minnesota Wild.
EDMONTON SUN: Oilers center Sam Gagner is still find his game after returning from a broken jaw.
CALGARY SUN: Flames forward Sven Baertschi is hoping he’s regained his scoring touch.
