The latest on Zach Parise, Ryan Suter and Rick Nash.

NJ.COM: Rich Chere reports Devils management hopes to re-sign Zach Parise and Martin Brodeur heading into the start of today’s free agency period. Parise isn’t ruling out returning to the Devils, but it’s  believed his agents are nervous over the team’s precarious financial situation.

THE TENNESSEAN: Josh Cooper reports Nashville Predators GM David Poile doesn’t expect a quick resolution regarding free agent blueliner Ryan Suter. Though Poile remains hopeful of re-signing Suter, Cooper believes he’ll have to consider options for replacing Suter if he signs elsewhere.

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS/NEW YORK POST: Despite Parise’s dismissive remarks about signing with the Rangers several weeks ago, the Rangers would listen if he were willing to sign with them. Other options for the Rangers could be on the trade market, where the Columbus Blue Jackets are shopping Rick Nash, and the Anaheim Ducks might be peddling Bobby Ryan. Defenseman Ryan Suter plays the wrong side, as the Rangers are strong enough on their blueline’s left side, so they’re unlikely to target him.

Parise (L) and Suter will be the most pursued players in this summer’s UFA market.

PHILLY.COM/CSNPHILLY.COM: The Flyers could target Parise and Suter, and trade options could include Nash and Ryan if they lose out on Parise. If they fail to land Parise, Nash or Ryan, they could consider free agent forwards like P.A. Parenteau or Shane Doan. They want to re-sign defenseman Matt Carle, and forward Jaromir Jagr. A backup goalie free agent option could be Winnipeg’s Chris Mason. Two sources reported Saturday the Flyers were in “serious discussions” with the Blue Jackets regarding Nash.

LOS ANGELES TIMES: Lisa Dillman reports the Stanley Cup champion Kings are eyeing Parise.

STARTRIBUNE.COM: Michael Russo reports the Minnesota Wild won’t waste time contacting Parise, though they’ll face stiff competition from teams like the Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings. GM Chuck Fletcher also intends to contact Ryan Suter.

SPORTINGNEWS.COM: Sean Gentille reports the Penguins are expected to offer Parise a ten-year deal worth between $75-$80 million.

PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE: Dave Molinari reports the Penguins are expected to pursue Parise and Suter.

DETROIT NEWS/DETROIT FREE PRESS/MLIVE.COM: The Red Wings will be in pursuit of Parise and Suter. Wings forward Jiri Hudler’s heart would keep him in Detroit, but money could see him sign elsewhere.
