This list will be updated throughout today tracking the latest NHL free agent signings, starting with the most notable. I’ll provide analysis on the notable signings later today in my Soapbox section.

The Detroit Red Wings have signed winger Daniel Alfredsson to a one-year contract believed around $3.5 million with bonuses which could bring it up to $5.5 million. The Red Wings also signed center Stephen Weiss to a five-year deal worth $4.9 million per season.

San Jose Sharks re-sign Logan Couture to a five-year contract extension worth $30 million, for an annual average cap hit of $6 million. The Sharks also re-signed defenseman Scott Hannan to a one-year, $1 million deal and winger Tyler Kennedy to a two-year, $2.3 million per season deal.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed winger Nathan Horton to a seven-year contract worth $37.1 million, for an average cap hit of $5.3 million.

The Boston Bruins have signed Jarome Iginla to a one-year, $6  million contract.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed David Clarkson to a seven-year deal worth $36.75 million, for an average cap  hit of $5.25 million, re-signed center Tyler Bozak to a five-year deal, $21 million deal, for an average cap hit of $4.2 million, and re-signed Frazer McLaren to a two-year deal believe worth $700K per season. They also signed T.J. Brennan to a one-year, $600K contract.

The Phoenix Coyotes have signed center Mike Ribeiro to a four-year contract worth $22 million, for an average cap hit of $5.5 million. The Coyotes also re-signed re-signed forward Lauri Korpikoski to a four-year $10 million extension, worth an average cap hit of $2.5 million,  inked Thomas Greiss to a one-year deal worth $750K and re-signed forward Kyle Chipchura

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed center Valtteri Filppula to a five year deal worth $5 million per season.

The New Jersey Devils have signed Ryane Clowe to a five-year deal worth $4.85 million per season and signed forward Rostislav Olesz to a one-year contract, and signed Michael Ryder to a two-year, $7 million contract.

The Nashville Predators have signed Viktor Stalberg to a four-year, $12 million contract, signed Matt Cullen to a two-year,$7 million deal ($3.5 million per season), inked forward Matt Hendricks to a four-year deal worth $1.85 million per season, and signed Eric Nystrom to a four-year, $10 million contract.

Rob Scuderi has returned to the Pittsburgh Penguins, signing a four year deal worth $13.5 million, for an average annual cap hit of $3.375 million.They also re-signed Craig Adams to a two-year, $1.4 million contract.

The Edmonton Oilers have signed defenseman Andrew Ference. Four years, $3.25 million AAV, signed center Boyd Gordon to a three-year contract worth $3 million per season. and have agreed to a one-year contract with goalie Jason Labarbera worth $1 million.

The NY Islanders have signed Evgeni Nabokov to a one-year, $3.25 million contract, signed forward Pierre-Marc Bouchard to a one-year deal worth $2 million, and Peter Regin to a one-year, $750K contract. They also re-signed defenseman Travis Hamonic to a seven-year deal worth $27 million.

The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Clarke MacArthur to a two-year deal worth $3.25 million per season.

The Anaheim Ducks re-signed Saku Koivu to a one-year, $2.5 million contract.

The Chicago Blackhawks have re-signed defenseman Michal Rozsival to a two-year contract and re-signed Michal Handzus to a one-year deal.

Minnesota Wild sign Matt Cooke to a three-year, $2.5 million per season contract, and re-sign defenseman Jared Spurgeon to a three-year extension worth $8 million, for an average annual cap hit of $2,666 million.

Goaltender Ray Emery will be returning with the Philadelphia Flyers on a one-year deal worth $1.65 million.

The Florida Panthers have re-signed forward Shawn Matthias to a two-year contract worth $1.75 million per season, and signed Joey Crabb to a two-year, one-way deal w0rth $600K per season. 

The St. Louis Blues signed Maxime Lapierre to a two-year, $2.2 million contract, and  signed center Keith Aucoin to a one-year, $625K contract.

The New York Rangers have signed Dominic Moore to a one-year, $1 million contract, and defenseman Aaron Johnson to a one-year, $600K contract.

The Dallas Stars have signed goaltender Dan Ellis to a two-year contract worth $900K per season.

Carolina Hurricanes signed goaltender Anton Khubobin to a one-year, $800K contract and sign Mike Komisarek to a one-year, $700K deal.

Los Angeles Kings have signed defenseman Jeff Schultz to a $700K contract.

The Vancouver Canucks have signed defenseman Yannick Weber to a one-year, $650K contract. They’ve also signed Brad Richardson.
