OTTAWA SUN: Bruce Garrioch looks back at the top five highlights from 2012 for the Senators. Considering the current lockout, it’s safe to say nothing on this list risk being eclipsed by another other highlights.
EDMONTON JOURNAL: Oilers winger Ales Hemsky, along with David Krejci and Jakub Kindl, recently left their Czech Extraliga team, sparking speculation they were returning in anticipation of the NHL soon returning to action. The real reason why Hemsky left? His insurance ran out.
