LOS ANGELES TIMES: Jonas Hiller made 30 saves for his 12th straight win as the Anaheim Ducks won their 14th in 15 games, downing the Boston Bruins 5-2.
TWINCITIES.COM: Darcy Kuemper made 39 saves as the Minnesota Wild nipped the Los Angeles Kings 2-1 in a shootout. Nino Niederreiter scored both goals for the Wild.
PHILLY.COM: Brayden Schenn overcame a skate cut to his midsection to score the game winner as the Philadelphia Flyers edged the New Jersey Devils 3-2. Devils winger Jaromir Jagr collected an assist for the 1,723 point of his NHL career, tying former Penguins teammate Mario Lemieux.
THE TENNESSEAN: Shea Weber had two assists as the Nashville Predators held off the San Jose Sharks 3-2.

DENVER POST: Colorado Avalanche forward Ryan O’Reilly is day-to-day with a shoulder injury caused by a goal celebration during a recent game against Calgary. The Avs also signed defenseman Nate Guenin to a two-year, $1.6 million contract.
CHICAGO TRIBUNE: Blackhawks goalie Nikolai Khabibulin underwent season-ending rotator cuff surgery on his right shoulder.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: That probably signals the end of Khabibulin’s NHL career. The forty-year-old appeared in only four games this season and was already sidelined by a groin injury.
