iDNES.CZ: Provides further information on Vladimir Sobotka’s decision to sign with Avangard Omsk of the KHL. Sobotka claimed he felt trapped after being unable to agree to terms with Blues management, who wereunwilling to trade him and instead wanted to wait for arbitration. When he received an offer from Omsk, he decided to accept. Sobotka claims he and the Blues were only $300K apart, with the Blues offering a one-year, $2.7 million deal while he sought $3 million.
