SPECTOR’S NOTE: Quick is leaving little doubt who the starting goalie is with the Kings.

MLIVE.COM: Red Wings forward Valterri Filppula has been showing more consistency in his performance of late, displaying maturity and confidence. He’s currently tied for second on the team in goals and points and is on pace for a 70-point season, which would be a career best.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: Consistency has been an issue for Filppula throughout his career, but if he’s finally getting it together, that’s good news for he and the Red Wings going forward.
DENVER POST: The Colorado Avalanche remain a terrible team, with no answers coming from management, which is refusing to speak to the media.
