In today’s collection of morning coffee headlines: Crosby’s medical team not on the same page…Ryan Kesler won’t rush recovery…Neither will Patrick Kane…Wojtek Wolski hopes to land on Rangers top line…Training camp/preseason questions for the Avalanche, Jets, Flyers, Red Wings, Ducks and Capitals.

PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW: reports Sidney Crosby’s medical team can’t seem to agree when the Penguins captain will be ready for contact drills.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: At least they agree he’s ready for non-contact drills.

VANCOUVER SUN: reports Canucks center Ryan Kesler said he’s not going to limp his way into this season, and doesn’t intend to return until he’s made a 100 percent recovery from off-season hip surgery.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: A wise course of action for Kesler, who’ll be far more effective if he were to miss a few games at the start of the season and return completely healthy, than to be partially recovered, try to rush back, and risk reinjuring himself.

CHICAGO SUN-TIMES: reports Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane intends to take a cautious approach in his recovery from wrist surgery while in training camp.

NEW YORK POST: reports Wojtek Wolski is hoping to put last season’s disappointing performance behind him and earn a spot on the Rangers top line.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: In my opinion this season is “make or break” for Wolski, whose stock has been in decline the past couple of seasons. He’ll need to seriously step up his game to earn a first line role.

DENVER POST: has ten questions facing the Colorado Avalanche. Among them: Does Semyon Varlamov have what it takes to be a starting goalie, and does J.S. Giguere have anything left in the tank?

WINNIPEG SUN: has five questions for the Jets entering training camp. Among them: Which Dustin Byfuglien will we see this season?

SPECTOR’S NOTE: I’m guessing the same one we saw last season.

CSNPHILLY.COM: Tim Panaccio has ten questions for the Flyers entering training camp. Among them: Where does Brayden Schenn fit into the lineup, and will Michael Nylander rediscover his magic with Jaromir Jagr and earn a contract?

DETROIT NEWS: has several questions for the Detroit Red Wings entering traind camp. Among them: Who’ll back up goalie Jimmy Howard?

SPECTOR’S NOTE: That’s Ty Conklin’s role to lose.

LOS ANGELES TIMES: raises some “key points” for the Anaheim Ducks. Among them: What will Teemu Selanne do in what should be his final NHL season?

SPECTOR’S NOTE: I wouldn’t be surprised if he hits 70 points.

WASHINGTON TIMES: has five questions for the Captials, one of which was wondering how healthy Mike Green is entering this season.
