Krejci gets new contract from Bruins.

The Boston Bruins today announced the re-signing of center David Krejci to a three-year extension, beginning in 2012-13. The deal is worth $1o.75 $15,75 million, with an average annual cap hit of $3.583 $5.25 million per season. Krejci, 25, was eligible for RFA status in July.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Quick, ramp up the “sign-and-trade rumors! Just kidding, if anything, this will likely put an end to the rumor of Krejci as trade bait. He has a reputation as a slow starter who usually doesn’t gain stride until mid-season, but he has two 60-plus point seasons under his belt, and was considered a key part of their Stanley Cup run last spring, with 23 points in 25 playoff games. GM Peter Chiarelli seems keen on keeping his championship roster intact.
