BROAD STREET HOCKEY: Travis Hughes is using his blog to assist Philadelphia police investigate the assault of a Rangers fan – an off-duy NYC cop, a former Marine who won a Purple Heart in Iraq – following the Winter Classic on Monday. Nice work, Travis, here’s hoping your efforts lead to bringing the guilty party to justice. And for those folks sneeringly saying, “Typical Flyers fans”, knock it off. Most Flyers fans were as sickened by this as Travis, and the cowardly actions of the perpetrators is by no means representative of Flyers fans.
