Change of scenery hasn’t improved Mike Cammalleri’s game…Max Pacioretty on pace for career-best season…Zach Bogosian could be out of Jets lineup today…Byron Bitz fitting in well with Sedins…Andy Sutton hoping to help struggling Oilers…Leafs cannot allow Sundin celebration to distract them…Chris Phillips basking in glow of his memorable 1,000th game.

CALGARY SUN: Mike Cammalleri has yet to rediscover his scoring touch since joining the Flames from the Canadiens a month ago.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: I still suspect Cammalleri could be playing through an injury. A talented scorer like him doesn’t just dry up suddenly for no reason.

Pacioretty among Habs few bright spots this season.

LA PRESSE: Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty is on pace for the best season to date in his young career, showing no ill effects from the injury 11 months ago that cast doubt over his future.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: I believe that’s due to Pacioretty being a cyborg. Seriously, though, he’s been among the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal season for the Canadiens, becoming part of a young core around which the Habs need to rebuild.

WINNIPEG SUN: The Jets could be without Zach Bogosian when they face the Pittsburgh Penguins today. Bogosian has a sore foot from blocking a shot in the Jets recent win over Washington.

VANCOUVER SUN: Rugged winger Byron Bitz has been a surprisingly good fit of late with the Sedins. A week ago, he was in the minors, and a month ago, his career was in doubt.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Remains to be seen how long he’ll be playing on the top line, but Bitz is obviously trying to make the most of his opportunity.

EDMONTON JOURNAL: Oilers defenseman Andy Sutton is ignoring trade rumors and feels ready to help his struggling team.

TORONTO SUN: The Maple Leafs cannot allow themselves to become distracted when the club honors former captain Mats Sundin in a pre-game ceremony before their tilt with the Montreal Canadiens.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: The danger is the Leafs could come out flat after a lengthy delay to the start of the game. Then again, perhaps they can use it as inspiration against their long-time rival.

OTTAWA SUN: Chris Phillips is basking in the glow of his two-goal performance during his 1, 000th NHL game.
