OTTAWA CITIZEN: The Senators blew a 2-0 first period lead to fall to the Florida Panthers 4-2.

CALGARY HERALD: The Flames special teams let them down in their 3-2 OT loss to the Dallas Stars, giving up a PP and a short-handed goal.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: It’s now crunch time for the Flames, as they cannot afford many more losses if they hope to get back into a playoff spot.

WINNIPEG FREE PRESS: The Jets will be without defenseman Zach Bogosian for at least a week, as he re-aggravated an upper body injury.

VANCOUVER PROVINCE: The Canucks power-play, one of their strengths last season, hasn’t been as strong this season.

TORONTO SUN: Maple Leafs defenseman Mike Komisarek is hoping for a fresh start under new Leafs head coach Randy Carlyle.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Komisarek was frequently in Ron Wilson’s doghouse and his performance declined noticeably since joining the Leafs. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs for Carlyle.

EDMONTON SUN: Oilers agitator Darcy Hordichuk is hoping his performance down the stretch will earn him a new contract with the club.
