Penner remains a King.

TSN reports the LA Kings have re-signed winger Dustin Penner to a one-year contract. Financial terms to follow…

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Given Penner’s bounce-back performance during the Kings championship run, it’s not a surprise they’ve opted to retain him. Don’t expect him to earn the same salary as he made on his previous deal ($4.25 million per).

**UPDATE** His new salary is $3.25 million. Have to say, I’m surprised he got that much. Fully expected he’d get around $2 million.
