A call for the Senators to bulk up, Jets’ Bogosian believes his club has improved, Ellis makes a pitch to become Canucks backup, Bouillon happy to be playing for Therrien again, and the alumni rosters for the Winter Classic are released.

OTTAWA SUN: Don Brennan believes the Senators need to be more physical, advocating the club add more players who fit that role.

Bogosian pleased by Jets off-season additions.

WINNIPEG SUN: Jets defenseman Zach Bogosian is encouraged by the moves made by management this summer.  He’s also enjoying this off-season, relieved not to have to deal with contract negotiations and the stress of relocation as he did a year ago.

VANCOUVER PROVINCE: UFA goalie Dan Ellis believes he’d make a great backup for Canucks goalie Cory Schneider.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: You can’t blame Ellis’ efforts to advertise himself for the job, but the Canucks still have to deal with Roberto Luongo first.

MONTREAL GAZETTE: Newly-returned Canadiens defenseman Francis Bouillon is happy to be playing for coach Michel Therrien again.

TORONTO SUN: The rosters for the Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings alumni games at the 2013 Winter Classic have been released. Darryl Sittler, Rick Vaive, Doug Gilmour, Felix Potvin, Wendel Clark, Mike Palmateer and Johnny Bower will be among the Leafs alumni, while Dino Ciccarelli, Chris Chelio, Gordie and Mark Howe, and Ted Lindsay will be among the Wings alums.
