Gustavsson heads to Motown.

SPORTSNET reports the Detroit Red Wings have signed goaltender Jonas Gustavsson to a two year, $3 million deal, or $1.5 million per season.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: The Jets acquired Gustavsson during the entry draft from the Toronto Maple Leafs, but he and the Jets were unable to reach a deal. Gustavsson seems the likely candidate to back up starter Jimmy Howard.
