A look at which teams may or may not make moves before today’s 3 PM ET NHL trade deadline.

BOSTON GLOBE: The Bruins are still in the market for a left-handed defenseman and could target NY Islanders defenseman Mark Streit.

CSN BAY AREA: After trading Ryane Clowe to the NY Rangers yesterday, the San Jose Sharks might not be done dealing. GM Doug Wilson now has ten picks at this year’s entry draft, including four in the first two rounds, which he could use as trade bait. He’s in the market for a depth forward and/or defenseman.

Could the Blue Jackets target Jason Pominville.

Could the Blue Jackets target Jason Pominville.

COLUMBUS DISPATCH: Blue Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen wants to bolster his offense, but doesn’t want to part with a roster player or give up a significant part of his team’s future. He’s put into play the first round draft pick the Blue Jackets acquired from the LA Kings as part of the Jack Johnson trade last year.  Possible targets could be Buffalo’s Jason Pominville or Drew Stafford, though both have no-trade clauses.

PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW: Despite losing Sidney Crosby and Paul Martin to injuries, Penguins GM Ray Shero thinks he’s done dealing.

PHILLY.COM: Flyers GM Paul Holmgren isn’t known for deadline deals, and could continue that trend this season.

STARTRIBUNE.COM: Minnesota Wild GM Chuck Fletcher could stand pat at the deadline.

NORTHJERSEY.COM: The New Jersey Devils aren’t expected to make noise at the deadline.

TAMPA BAY TIMES: After trading Marc-Andre Bergeron to Carolina yesterday, Lightning GM Steve Yzerman says to expect little else.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: I expect the Bruins and Sharks will each try to make a move today, and I’d keep an eye on the Blue Jackets, though I have my doubts Pominville would agree to go to Columbus. Contrary to the Dispatch report, Stafford lacks a no-trade clause. With the Islanders now holding onto a playoff berth, I’ll be very surprised if they trade Mark Streit now, even if he’s still unsigned this morning. As for the others, while one shouldn’t rule out a surprise move by the deadline, I believe they’ll be quiet today.
