OTTAWA SUN: Senators center Jason Spezza made his return to action for the first time since undergoing back surgery in February, rejoining the Senators for Game Three against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: It’s obvious it will take some time for Spezza to return fully to game shape, but his presence seemed to provide his teammates with an emotional boost. 

VANCOUVER SUN: Canucks star Henrik Sedin scored twice to help Sweden down Switzerland 5-1 to win Gold at the World Hockey Championships.

MONTREAL GAZETTE: Pat Hickey believes the Canadiens need more size and strength in their lineup, expecting Habs management to begin addressing the issue at this year’s June Entry Draft.

CALGARY SUN: Flames assistant athletic therapist Schad Richea came to the aid of Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks after she injured her knee a recent fall, enabling Nicks and the band to continue their tour. She dedicated the song “Landslide” to Richea during their Calgary show, saying ““I feel like a hockey player!” She also provided him free tickets to the show.
