SPECTOR’S NOTE: Clark means well, but this will only add to the heightened expectations some Leafs fans  have of Clarkson as a clone of the former Leafs captain.

EDMONTON SUN: Terry Jones doesn’t have a favorable opinion of the Oilers acquisition of David Perron.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Oilers GM Craig MacTavish has tried to deliver on his promise of bold moves this summer, but he’s discovered it’s easier said than done. The Perron deal doesn’t land the big, physical power forward the Oilers need, but he should bolster their offensive attack.
