An updated NHL free agent list, updates on Jarome Iginla, Ryan McDonagh and Daniel Cleary, Coyotes fans to take a hit in the wallet, and more.

NHL.COM: An updated tracker of signed unrestricted free agents, and a list of all available free agents.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: A shallow pool of available quality free agent talent quickly got shallower on Friday. Teams in need of quality talent will have to turn to the trade market.

BOSTON GLOBE: The Bruins will use their bonus cushion to absorb Jarome Iginla’s new contract and placing Marc Savard on long-term injury reserve at the start of this season to have enough space to re-sign goalie Tuukka Rask.

Rangers closing in on new contract with Ryan McDonagh.

Rangers closing in on new contract with Ryan McDonagh.

NEW YORK POST: Ryan McDonagh’s agent said his camp is getting closer to a new contract with the NY Rangers.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: McDonagh and fellow RFA Carl Hagelin are also eligible for arbitration. As noted in the article, if they don’t file by Wednesday, the Rangers could take them to arbitration. That would be a means of preventing them from receiving offer sheets. Forward Derek Stepan, however, lacks arbitration rights and could become an offer sheet target. Unlikely, but still possible.

MLIVE.COM: The Detroit Red Wings want to re-sign Daniel Cleary but must clear some cap space first. Cleary remains an unrestricted free agent and eligible to speak with other clubs.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Cleary seems willing to give the Wings time, but it remains to be seen how much time.

ARIZONA REPUBLIC: The cost of attending Arizona Coyotes games will go up, as the cost of tickets and arena parking will increase for this season.

BUFFALO NEWS: The Sabres re-signed defenseman Alexander Sulzer.

COLUMBUS DISPATCH: The Blue Jackets have signed center Jack Skille to a one-year, two-way contract.
