TORONTO STAR: Mason Raymond continued to make his case for a roster spot with the Maple Leafs, chipping in a goal and an assist in their 3-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators.

OTTAWA CITIZEN: Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson’s skating form appears to have returned to normal, logging 29 minutes in the loss to the Maple Leafs.

NATIONAL POST: Joe Colborne is running out of time to make his mark with the Maple Leafs.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: It’s anticipated Raymond will get a one-year contract for just under $1 million.  Good news for the Senators that Karlsson’s skating is showing no lingering after-effects from last season’s Achille tendon injury.
